was that... smoke? the seventeen-year-old blinked a few times, rubbing her eyes slightly. why in the world was there... smoke? her eyes quickly skimmed over the ceiling, and then suddenly it dawned on her. the plane, the storm... and the chaos that had went down just moments before. she couldn't remember all the details, but she did remember a few. there was an explosion right outside her window, and she'd remembered the pilot yelling for them to buckle their seat belts. apparently, the plane had been struck by lightening.
which, would explain the smoke. a wave of sudden shock and horror washed over her as the blond went to jump up with wide eyes. she soon, however, hit the seat again with a soft 'thud.' what the...? looking down, she soon realized that her seatbelt was still on. she was quick to slip out of it as her eyes drifted back to the ceiling. the smoke was, indeed, still there. in fact, it almost seemed to be... thickening?
the teenager coughed slightly, searching for the pilot and the exit. half of her peers seemed to be gone... but the other half was still in the plane. at first, she wasn't sure what to do. but, her chocolate brown eyes finally located the exit, and she hustled out of the plane. smoke was thickening and she knew that if she were to stick behind, it might not have been good.
it took a hard heave to get the door to come open. she was greeted by the sight of the pilot on the sand, talking into a radio in panicked tones. several of her classmates were standing around wide-eyed, but the teenager looked past them. where were they? this wasn't lundy...
she wasn't sure where they were. another cough came from her mouth as a gust of smoke rushed out of the plane behind her. the pilot had thrown down the radio and was now yelling at everyone to get out. the seventeen year old, carlie chapel, slowly left the doorway. she wandered to the coastline where most of the group had assembled. storm clouds were still in the sky... but carlie had barely noticed. her mind was still stuck on one question.
where are we?

I built my life like my bike on a rigid frame So nothing bends it only breaks into pieces and pieces • • • • • • • •
• • • • • • • • I waited for hope to arrive but it never came Leaving me with only pain inside
Amelia's hearing crept into her consciousness first. The sound of a fire crackling first made a line of confusion to appear in between her brows. At inhaling she realized her mouth was dry, her throat raw and tight, she coughed while her mind tried to assess what was going on. She cracked her eyes open only to realize she couldn't see. A thick smog of smoke covered her and she could barely see the airplane seats knocked over, or missing all together. Out of instinct she held her breath and tried to push herself up. What happened? She asked herself as she stumbled and had to rest her weight on the airplane wall. Her side throbbed with a fresh venom as she tried to move. She realized she must have hurt herself, and that the plane had crashed.
Instictively she felt around her neck for the necklace her brother had given her so long ago and that gave her a little sense of security, bit not much. She pulled her shirt up over her nose and mouth, though she knew she must of inhaled a good bit of the smoke already, it didn't matter. She was glad she had made it, despite the effort and strain she had put into trying to figure what had happened exactly. It was scary, the way the plane looked to her eyes, it was blurred, though she knew that was just her. The only thing pushing her to get out of the plane was the smoke and the saying that went along with it; where there's smoke, there's fire. With one hand to her side, trying to console her ribs, and her other hand holding up her shirt to her nose and mouth she started stumbling out of the plane. Amelia ran into something and it sent a tingle up her arm as she knew she had hit her elbow. With a hiss that only irritated her headache, she removed her hand from her side and put it out in front of herself. She felt around for the emergency door.
Her fingers felt a sheath of metal and she ran her hand horizontal until she felt the door. Amelia's fingers curled around the latch that she found, with a few seconds of searching but felt like minutes, a latch, and pulled up on it. It didn't budge. She raised her head a little, but nothing was blocking the door from what she could see. She turned sideways and shoulder it, but it only caused her to slink away from it with pain shooting in her arm. Her green eyes teared up and she sunk her teeth into her lower lip. She latched onto the handle and put her hip and shoulder into. The door creaked open slowly and she gush of fresh air eliminated the plane's cabin. She tripped over the barrier and fell face first into the sand that was surrounding it.
Amelia groaned and spit the sand out of her mouth. People were already outside, but she knew not all of them were. Her coughing becoming more harsh as she bent her neck to look around her. Some of her classmates she recognized, some she didn't. The pilot was talking into something, Amelia wasn't sure what. And then it registered in. Sand. Beach. Smoke... Her fingers dug into the sand as she looked further out into the ocean. They were stranded, and the realization seemed to kick her into the gut, knocking the air out of her. Or what little air she had anyway. She stood up slowly and hunched her shoulders instantly, wrapping her arms around herself, she wondered what they were going to do now. Her eyes burned and that familiar burning in her throat increased. They were lost, she repeated to herself with a tight chest. Hot tears ran down her cheeks and she didn't even bother to try and stop them.

You and your black moods you and your attitude it's something I can do without - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - As everyone crowded around the pilot Carmen did not do so. She walked away from the group and sat down looking out at water. She could still smell the smoke of the plane. She could feel her lungs struggling to breath from the smoke. She looked back at everyone freaking out over by the pilot she was scared also but just like at school she kept the way she felt to herself. She continued to sit by herself imagining that this was not true even though she knew it was. She just like everyone else was thinking where were we?andwhat happened? She just sat there thinking to herself every once and awhile looking back at the plane, the pilot, and her fellow class mates. As they were so excited to go this trip and to see it all gone in a signal minute that all changed.
With all of these thoughts still going on in her head she decided to go back with her fellow class mates and see who things were coming with that radio thing. Although she did not like being with most of those people because they were popular she still went over. She was taking her time getting back with them taking it all in and facing the reality that they were not leaving soon.

-- Mason wasted no time as he stepped on the plane and readied himself for a flight for Lundy Island. He barely had time to pay attention to the idle chat that surrounded him as he walked down the aisle to find his seat. There was no real logical reason for him to be in such a hurry, even in the casual way he carried himself. However, he was happily content with getting things started and wished eagerly for the flight to be on its way. For even if Mason told himself he was almost completely different from his dad, there was one thing that Mason did share with his father, and that was the fondness of flying.
-- It had not always been that way. Even with his dad encouraging him to love all things relating to aviation, Mason had not liked flight in his early years. Perhaps it was just in spite of his strict, serious, and stern father figure. But truth be told, he had possessed an extreme fear of heights that at times was outright embarrassing. And with Mason’s own social personality clashing with his dad’s; the last thing he wanted to do was grow up like him and join the Air force. Every time his parents made him sit on a plane he chose the farthest seat away from the window as possible; ironically enough, even that angered his dad. There was a lot of contention even in his refusal to look out the window. Ah, those were the days….
-- But things changed when he was finally given the chance to take a commercial flight alone; meaning, without daddy dearest sitting near him. And to Mason’s surprise, sitting near the window seat wasn’t all that bad. In fact, it was actually quite enjoyable. There was just something cool about being up in the air. It was like nothing else mattered anymore. It didn’t matter how many cars you owned back at home, or how dominate you were in your family, or if you had tons of friends, up at such heights nothing mattered. It was just you. And Mason liked that. Plus there was just shear enjoyment with knowing that you were heading somewhere. So now, on this flight, things weren’t any different. He quickly found his site and before he knew it, they were off….
-- Fast forward to now. Sounds echoed. Voices mixed. Everything merged together. Nothing was real anymore; it was as if everything was in a parallel universe. Time itself was non-existent. And his mind was a thousand miles away; somewhere where thoughts themselves had their own personalities and odd distinctions. In the back of his mind he knew he was Mason; and he knew he was in some weird place. But it took a long time for the rest of his mind to discover that. His state of being was like a patient just waking up after a surgery. As his mind cleared further, he began to get a weird sensation like the world was spinning around him…And as panicked sounds continue to grow louder, he began to realize he probably needed to snap out of his own world and return to the real one…but it sounded so much more enjoyable to remain in this state. He had never felt so tired in his life, and he’d never felt so comfortable, either. Just as it seemed he was going to give up and succumb to his tiredness…he heard a voice calling to him…a familiar voice…and he opened his eyes slowly.
-- Everything came in slowly. Even the slightest bit of light seemed to blind him. And worse of all, it seemed like everything was moving….dizzy…he was dizzy…He didn’t immediately unbuckle his seatbelt or make an effort to move…it took him a while just to take everything in. But when he did process the information, his memory came back to him and he realized what had happened. It was at that point that he unbuckled his seatbelt. But even so, he did not immediately move. His body and mind were both too shocked and weary for that. He struggled with himself to simply keep his eyes open and not fall back asleep. That’s when he ran his palm up his head to wipe off what he thought was sweat, but out of the corner of his eye, he saw something that grabbed his attention. Red. His hand was covered in red. It was blood.
-- The site provoked an instinctive adrenaline rush and desire to survive. Bracing the back of his palm against his head, he then made a push to get out of his seat and the plane as well. His steps were long and impulsive. He continued walking this way until he had made it out to the site of the beach, walking past a pilot who was yelling something. The words didn’t register, they only echoed, and he continued walking… walking… walking. He finally stopped when he was a good distance up on the beach before collapsing face first into the sand.

-- Kat woke with a start, she didn't know what was happening around her. There was smoke, it was twirlling around at the top of the plane. Kat drew a large breath in to keep herself calm. The smoke was getting thicker, Kat's heart began to beat faster. She rubbed her eyes; just to make use that she was not still asleep. 'Where is this smoke coming from?' though Kat, it was not right. There was something wrong with the plane. Kat was still wearing her seat belt, so he removed it and stood up. There were not many people on the plane, it was too quiet. She had not noticed that there was a cut on her head, it was pretty deep and it seems that it was not too much bother to Kat as she left her seat. She headed down the plane to the nearest exit. She feared that the plane will explode at any minute, her blood was throbbing in her eyes and ears...
-- As Kat left the plane, she could see that there were a lot of people; her fellow school freinds, crowded around another person. This person was the pilot 'Is he dead?' thought Kat. She headed to the group, slowly. She could see that there was a girl with dark brown hair, sitting in the sand facing the sea. She paused and swapped her glances to the group and to the girl, where should she go? The panic had started now; this was supposed to be a nice and easy trip away and this was not a good way to start it...
-- 'Where are we? What happened?' Kat thought to herself again. This was not good, the island may be beautiful but how did the plane crash? Kat collasped where she stood, she started to cry. She hardly ever cried in public, she prayed that no one could see her. She turned to look at the plane and then at the brown haired girl. There was a bad feeling deep in Kat's stomach, that they were not going to be going home. She held her head in her hands and cried harder. She released an angry scream...

just talk yourself up A N D T E A R Y O U R S E L F D O W N - - - - - - - - - - - -Rhiannon McGraw squinted in the thick, black smoke. She felt lightheaded, woozy, and any other feeling you didn't want to have. She was trying to comprehend what had just happened. What she did remember was being on a plane to the Lundy Islands with some Eastside students.
Rhiannon wasn't sure why she wanted to go on the flight in the first place. She had never been out of the country, and things were getting a little lonely at home. But still, she wasn't exactly close with a lot of the students. Maybe she just did it on a whim - but now, she didn't even know.
And now, it was the furthest thing from her mind. Hastily, she undid her seatbelt - which for some reason, felt harder than it had earlier on the flight. She took a deep breath in, and put a hand to the back of her head. She just felt so out of it - like she had hit her head or something.
As the smoke began to clear, Rhiannon didn't want to move. She took another deep breath and closed her eyes, slipping in and out of conciousness.

slow it down, make it stopbefore my heart is going to pop• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • OUTFITcallista katarine james boarded the airplane with the utmost confidence. she had always been a traveler, and even though this was the first time without her parents with her, she still had not one fear in the world. flying made her almost forget everything she was afraid of. it was a nice feeling. as she stowed her larger bag in the overhead compartment without assistance, she settled quite nicely into her window seat, keeping her smaller, brand-new purse with her.
of course, that purse contained all of callista's essentials - lipgloss, foundation, notebook, ipod, and sidekick. callista could never travel without those. she breathed in and felt a sense of calm as the plane took off. except for the fact that her ears were popping like crazy. but it was a thing that she had gotten used to, for the most part.
as the flight went on, callista was reclining in her seat, eyes closed and ipod turned up. she could have even fallen asleep - until she heard something. some loud beeps, and a frenzied announcement coming over the intercom. callista yanked out her earbuds and sat up in attention. something about thunderstorms, and lightning. fasten seatbelts.
she quickly whipped her head around to see a storm in the grey sky outside. her pale green eyes grew wider - whatever this was, she knew it couldn't be good. she then let out a yelp and gripped the armrest of her seat as the turbulence began. she squeezed her eyes shut, and held onto her purse.
what seemed like a split second later, they had stopped moving. everything felt almost calm. callista opened her eyes to find herself on ... sand? her hands were still gripping her purse, and she realized that the sand had gotten into her hair. she tried to take a breath in - but her breathing tightened.
smoke. oh no, no, no! callista thought frantically. she couldn't be around the stuff for a second - not with her asthma. taking short and hard breaths, callista's hands scrambled to open her purse - she must have kept her puffer with her!

She woke up because she felt something odd going on with the plane. You've never been so used as Im using-- Huh? thought Massie. Then she remembered she had her iPod on.She turned off the Paramore song right as the plane tilted forward and picked up speed. She screamed and as it crashed then hit her head with instant unconciousness. She awoke less than 2 minutes later and she got up,grabbing her tiny purse and shoulder bag which so happened to be on her and she crawled out. Massie hadnt thought that she would've needed to bring her inhaler, boy was she wrong. She coughed her brains out until she was out of the plane, and once she was collapsed on the group, not unconcious, but gasping for air. i never thought i'd say "there's gotta be a better way."when everything around me falls to pieces Shiloh gave Gramma Rose one last hug before she had to go on the plane. She didn't even want to go, the last thing she wanted to do was leave her grandmother sick for however long they were going. But Gramma Rose insisted, and she didn't want her mad at her. Last guardian she had that was mad at her didn't work out so well, her scars showed. She sighed heavily, then picked up her turquoise suitcase and dragged it off, following her school through all of the plane steps.
Why do I have to do this? She asked mentally, tilting her head so she could look at the top of the plane, turning her iPod on out of habit. Surprise, surprise, the first song that came on was Stars by Switchfoot, in her opinion one of the awesome-ist bands out there. She turned her head again, this time to look out the window beside her. They were already so high up in the air, if it wasn't so weird, it might have been fascinating to the freshman.
She was fast asleep by the time the lightning bolt struck the plane. However, she did wake up when it hit the ground forcefully. Her big blue eyes flew open and she immediately yanked her earphones out of her ears and turned off her iPod. Looking around frantically, she realized that everyone else was panicking and tried to calm her beating heart, but apparently it was not calming. She tugged on her seat belt anxiously, but it was stuck. She whined wordlessly as she yanked as hard as she could. Why wouldn't it come off? Come on, come on! She thought, punching the button with all her might. Finally she sucked in her breath and slid out of the seatbelt. One good thing about being so frigging skinny, she mused, scrambling out of there as fast as possible.
Coughing heavily by now, she was finally out of the plane. Of course, she'd gotten out last because everyone had pushed her to the back because apparently she didn't deserve to live as much as the rest of them. Hm, where'd she hear that from before? It was getting hard to breathe now, she dropped to her knees and put her hand on her throat. God, make it stop! She begged in silent prayer. It was like torchure all over again. Finally she stopped, and breathing heavily, looked up. "Where are we?" She wondered out loud in a whisper.
Squinting at the bright light, she stood up. That was stupid, she thought sarcastically, remembering her sunglasses on top of her head. She pushed them down and looked at the place she'd landed through tinted lenses. Then she looked at herself. She was scratched, but it wasn't too bad except for her swelling pinky finger. She hadn't even noticed the pain until right now, but even now it wasn't bad compared to what she'd gone through before. She wiggled it to make sure it wasn't broken and when she determined it wasn't, she forgot about it. She was a little more preoccupied trying to make sure none of her old scars had reopened without letting anyone see.
Once she was absolutely none of her arm and chest scars were not bleeding, or the scar on her neck, she looked down at her pants. There was no sign of red blood on them, so she sighed in absolute relief. No one would know. She was all right. She looked around in panic to make sure no one had been watching her, but when she realized no one was she exhaled audibly. "Thank you God." She whispered, closing her eyes.

no one came to sit next to luci which was a good thing. she texted addie a couple of times but stopped after a while. she shrugged it off and started listening to her i-pod again. luci was debating if the trip was a good thing she was starting to think it wasn't until she alexander carter walk onto the plane three hours ago. she liked alex so much that he was one of the only reasons she came the other was that carlie made her. she was starting to feel cold so she slipped on her yellow hoodie. she leaned back in her seat and closed her eyes.
luci felt a small vibration in her pocket. who would be texting her now? she reached down near her pocket, unbutton it and pulled out her phone. it was her mom asking if they were there yet. she told her mom no and to stop texting because it would cost a lot. she turned off her phone and slipped it into her bag. she stuck her headphones back into her ears and went back to closing her eyes....
she woke up suddenly hearing things. she stuffed everything back into her bag and followed everyone else out the door. she walked out of the smoke-filled airplane. she walked pretty far till she was to the mouth of the forest where there was no smoke. she was breathing harder and her heart was beating faster, her stomach was churning. she knew that she wasn't in lundy. she wondered where addie was or carlie. she loved her friends but she was in to much pain to go and find them. she sat on a fallen branch and thought about the question going through her mind... where are we? and i've been dying to get out,but that might be the death of me Jared waved, grinning, to his brother who was dropping him off at the airport. "I won't be late this time!" He yelled over the buzz of the people. "That's what you said last time! If you miss this, Ororo will kill you personally!" Jacob yelled back, laughing. Jared waved one last time. "I wouldn't miss it for the world." He said before turning around and heading toward his plane. The last thing he wanted to do was be late for the plane he was flying himself. Because if he was late for that, he'd be late coming back, which would mean he would be late for his sister's wedding, which would mean, that he would die in the next 24 hours when he was least expecting it.
Before really starting the plane, he listened to the weather report at his employer's urging. It was supposed to be raining hard about halfway through the flight, but a little rain didn't scare Jared, he'd passed through rain on the way to their destination billions of times in his own personal opinion. He was positive they could make it. After all, what was going to happen, they were going to be struck by lighting? He chuckled to himself, like that was really going to happen. After all, what were the chances in that, one in a million?
The flight so far was absolutely normal except for a few scatterings of rain, but they weren't too bad so far. But as he stared ahead at the gathering clouds, they weren't looking too pretty. He was right, it started raining like crazy a few minutes later. It was kind of hard to see through it all, but somehow he managed it, until the radio died on him. At first he thought they were playing a trick to get back at all the times he'd scared them back at the airport, but when it didn't come back on he was getting a little frightened. And Jared almost never got frightened. "Come on, come on.." He hissed through clenched teeth as he hit the radio a few times, trying to get it to turn back on somehow. What was he supposed to do now, in the middle of a thunderstorm in the middle of the Atlantic?
That was when lightning struck the plane. If this doesn't kill me, Ororo will. He thought, covering his face with his right arm. Then he blacked out, hitting his head on something, he wasn't sure what, hard. The next few minutes as the plane landed, he was out like a light. What awoke him was a crash, the smell of smoke, and terrorizing, unbearable pain. I've got to get the kids off this plane! He thought first, and tried to stand. But when he did, he fell on his back. He couldn't hold his weight on his right leg, he guessed he'd broken it as well as his arm. But he had to get the kids and himself off the plane or they were all toast. He forced himself to walk, or limp, to the door which disconnected him from the students. He flung it open with his good arm, limped over to the plane door, and tried desperately to open it. It of course was not opening.
When he finally got it open, he stumbled out, cradling the radio in his broken arm, yelled at the top of his lungs, "Everyone get out, RIGHT NOW." While they did, he noticed that some got out the emergency door, and that was absolutely fine with him as long as they all got out. He leaned on the plane and yelled into the radio, trying to get it to work again. "Come on, come on! Work, already!" He shouted over the hubbub of his passenger's shock. After a few minutes he realized it was all over, and they were stuck. The radio was dead, and it was not coming back. He threw it on the ground, disgusted. Then he rolled himself back over to the door, telling everyone to hurry. He didn't want anyone to get any more injuries, especially not on his account.
Once it was confirmed that they were all out, he forced himself away from the plane and stumbled around on the dreaded fricking sand, he collapsed and coughed like a madman. Since we apparently aren't at Lundy, where the frick are we? He rasped, after finally finishing his coughing spout, looking around and clutching his broken arm to him tightly. He was trying not to get the sand in any of his cuts but he was in too much pain to move away from it. Then they began coming to him in swarms, asking tearfully in raised voices where they were, which of course he knew not. "All right, all right, shut up!" He finally yelled to get their attention. "I don't know where we are, but I'm kind of in a lot pain and under a lot of stress at the moment. If you aren't here to help, then I suggest you back off, okay?"
Disappointed and probably angry, the kids one by one left, leaving him with very few who were apparently going to try and stop the pain, or the bleeding, whichever first. He guessed they were in the back and didn't get too injured themselves, because they looked unscathed to him. Lucky ducks, he thought to himself, grinning wryly. He didn't know what they could do about it all, but it never hurt to try. At least, most of the time it didn't.

stuck in a room of staring faces, CAUGHT IN A NIGHTMARE CAN'T WAKE UP.. Alexander groaned as his eyes fluttered open. He could feel the pain in his lower side, throbbing and aching to be fixed. He sat up, realizing he was slipping. The plane..the crash. He remembered it all now. And, better yet, the plane was faced down in the ground, causing everything to fly that way. Luckily, Alex hadn't. He carefully unbuckled his seat belt while holding onto the chair in front of him. He got out of it, yelping as he got thrown fowards and landed on another seat. "Fucckk." He groaned, rubbing his hip bone.
His eyes widened when he realized there was a big gash there. "Oh shit, how did I get in this mess?" He asked himself, trying to climb his way down to the bottom of the plane where he saw a way out. He was suprised he hadn't gotten a concusion instead! He was always the unlucky one. He kept falling on top of the damn seats in the plain, but after a long and sweaty hour, Alex had managed to get down to the hole of the light and creep out of it. As soon as he got out, and fell back onto the ground, just laying there exhausted. He wondered if he were the only survivor. He really hoped not. That would be scary.
Alex wondered how he even mangaged to get a gash in his hip. How the flying fuck did that happen? All he cared about right now was finding someone - anyone...fixing his ...injury, and finding food!
