CANONS! RULES! PLOT EXTRAS!
Welcome to Hamilton University.
Hamilton University, located in Lonely Point, just outside Boston on the Massachusetts coastline,
has never held quite the reputation of its Ivy League neighbors. They do well enough for students:
all those who just missed the scores cut off for the Ivies seem to find their way here, along with
those who didn't miss but wanted a little less academic pressure. The school itself has always
been functional, all the students eventually finding their place and being able to call it home-
whether it be in the drama club, the sports teams or Greek life. Never before were their any
problems with any group.
Last year, though, something changed. Near the middle of the second semester, the Greek
system began to spiral out of control. It started innocently enough, with actions that had always
had their place on campus. Pranks, like pouring dishwashing soap into the campus fountain,
were pulled. Then somebody toilet-papered the Omicron Alpha Omicron house. That was the event
that seemed to trigger all the rest. Soon, lawns on Greek Row were being spray-painted and the
Alpha Nu Rho house was graffitied. Then, in a culminating event, the Zeta Sigma Omega house
was set on fire.
That was when the administration decided to step in. They banned all Greek events for the
rest of the year and began an investigation into the events, trying to root out the causes.
Based on film evidence, ----- Wood was pinned for the graffitiing of the Alpha Nu house-
when nothing else came out of the investigation, they decided to use him as an example and
expelled him from the Greek system. Over the summer, a new set of rules were established and
put into place at the beginning of the new semester.
Life goes on. Administration is still attempting to find out exactly what happened last year, thus
creating a constant source of tension within the Greek world. The rest of the student body is also
desperate to find out what will happen, since everybody had heard about last year's events. The
Greek system is now highly restricted, with limits on partying and other daily activities. But...
restrictions were made to be broken. Parties are still held, students around campus are beginning to
get involved and pranks are still being pulled. But how long can this go on until somebody is finally
caught? When that happens, might the Greek system be shut down permanently?
Nobody knows, so maybe it's time for everyone to take a turn to step up and DANCE WITH DISASTER.
