height: 5'6.
weight: 115.
build: tall, medium, strong.
eyes: dark brown eyes with a hint of golden flecks.
hair: long, blond, slightly waved.
distinguishing features: the scar running from her elbow to her wrist, and a small beauty mark on the side of her face.
tattoos and piercings: tattoo of a butterfly on the back of her neck, and both her ears pierced.
personal style: kaycee likes to dress with the fashion, but also with a bit of her own flare. She is very artistic with her clothing, and easily combines different styles to come up with her own. She usually has a beachy - casual look, which suits her nicely.
appearance: Kay's shape is slender, which gives her some curves, but she isn't one of the thinnest people you'd see. It's clear to anyone who knows her well that she has a more built shape, better for sports and anything to do with strength then looks.
At one point, she thought she wasn't thin enough, and tried to starve herself so that she looked like the other girls. Her older brother caught her purging in the bathroom, and knew she had terrified him. His younger sister who had looked so happy, so innocent, was basically killing herself. He apologized, and quickly went to tell their parents, who were both shocked. They forced her to start eating properly again, and with great difficulty, she got back on her feet. Thats when she started taking sports more seriously, and realized that she wasn't ever going to be like those other girls. She was only herself.
So, because of her fit and active lifestyle, she has plenty of energy, a high metabolism, and strong limbs and muscles. She still envies others, but is content with herself.

overall personality: Kaycee is one of those girls you would ignore in the hallway unless she spoke specifically to you. And when she does, listening is a hard thing to not do. When talking, she uses small hand gestures, and smiles easily, keeping eye contact. She believes in showing someone she is listening, and even when she isn't, will still make sure to nod or add in a quick comment.
She is a hard person to anger, though if you were to insult her, her actions, or her friends and family, her calm exterior is quickly broken. She doesn't really like being told what she can or can't do, or that what she is doing is wrong. When her anger flares, she will resort to yelling at you, and if that doesn't work, then it will turn to an unforgivable look -- clenched jaw, tilted head, glaring eyes -- and then a brisk walk away. After wards, she will usually get emotional, and start crying because she knows it was wrong to do what she did. Though, she will wait a day or two of silence before going forward and apologizing, she has to have time to cool down.
Seeing as Kaycee is rather emotional, her default is happy, though it looks more like a pained smile hiding her boredom. She was never good at showing emotions other then happiness, anger, or sadness. Anything else comes off as confusion or frustration, and thats usually what she ends up feeling when others don't understand. Only a few can pick apart her feelings, and even then presenting them to her could be some sort of a death wish. She doesn't take advice easily, as it comes off as an insult to her.
If Kaycee were to forget someones name, she'd start to panic, going over every time she seen them in her head. Then she'd start throwing out random names, guessing if they fit the person or not. In the end, she will either call them without actually using a name, or will use one of the ones she guessed. Both usually leave her in some sort of embarrassing situation, and with the persons name again. Though, unless she writes it down or says it out loud a few times, it will be gone again. For this, she has come up with a game, where when she and her friends are gone out, they will guess peoples names, then yell them out, ducking behind a wall, table, post, whatever they can find. If the person turns around, they treat themselves to an ice-cream (whatever one they figure is the persons favorite, which only brings on more arguments and laughter). If they don't, then they continue to guess until they start turning more heads then they first hoped, then dash away laughing.

history: Katelyn lived in Canada when she met Mitchell Faraday. She had just finished college at a local art school, and was ready to set out and do what loved; painting. She had been walking from her apartment to a small coffee shop when she bumped into a man reading the paper. Automatically, she was angered, and was about to start yelling at him for not watching where he went when he pulled the paper form his face. She immediately recognized him from her high school years as one of the new students from england. He smiled, and thats when they started dating.
The story was that, back when he was fifteen, his parents had moved from england to canada in attempt to find his sister. She had run off with her boyfriend back to his home. In attempt to keep Mitchell calm, they bought a house and enrolled him in school, where he met Katelyn first in his History class. He had been lost in all the homework and the sudden changes, and Katelyn, being the honor student she was, quickly picked up where he was lost. The two didn't click too well back then, the troubles of high school and his sister keeping him distant.
He was just beginning to get used to Canada when his sister was suddenly found, and in a big mess. Turns out her fairy tale boyfriend was just a simple drug dealer trying to lure another girl. He had broken her heart after stealing the money she had saved to run away, and left her abandoned. His parents were an emotional wreck, and immediately took their family back to england. They left on a plane that same day, and Katelyn hadn't seen Mitchell since.
While she was stuck back in Canada, Mitchell was all the way in England. After graduating a top notch business school, he set out to explore the world. He went back to Canada to relive his youth, and found Katelyn.
After a year of dating, he finally proposed, and they were married. Trying to get a fresh start, they moved to England near Mitchells family. No more then a year after their marriage, Katelyn found herself pregnant. The happy couple decided that they would have to move to a larger house, a small apartment building was no where to raise a child. So, they moved to a less busy city, and got a larger house with a friendly neighborhood.
After nine months of arguing, pain, and stress, Katelyn Faraday finally gave birth to her first child, a healthy boy who she named Aidan. They were delighted.
Not long after, she had another child, this time a girl. To her, the small family was complete. Aidan and Kaycee got along well enough, and she had found a beautiful home where painting ideas came easily. Her husband had found a job and landed the position of vice president seeing as he knew the owner from high school.
But then the family started to tear apart. Mitchell was never home, and when he was, all he wanted to do was sleep and eat. They never spoke any more, he was becoming distant. The children were suffering without a father, always asking where he was. So, Katelyn suggested they give each other a little space. Or, in other words, they agreed to a separation. Katelyn got full custody, not that Mitchell wanted it or had time for it. He was already busy with life, having found a new girlfriend already.
The single mother was scraping up money to feed her children when Richard Stanwood came along. He offered them security, love, and a decent future. She welcomed him into her home with open arms, but neither of her children did. They had already tried to have a father, and he had ignored them. They didn't need someone else to take up that role again. But Katelyn wouldn't allow that, and tried to prove to them that they could make it work by allowing Richard to move in.
They never got married, but they did have a child together, young Macy. Her half siblings put up with her, though they kept to themselves as though she was an outsider. This brought on many arguments between Macy, Aidan and Kaycee, which only made Katelyn mad. Her and Richard started fighting over their kids and why they couldn't just get along.
That left Richard keeping to himself, Katelyn trying to get the kids together and get along, Aidan ranting constantly about Macy to his sister, Macy trying to pick fights with Kaycee, and Kaycee stuck in the middle of her insane family.
So, she began to drift off, ignoring her mothers warnings, her brothers rants, her step sisters insults. She made her own little world where she didn't have to be anyone, that she could just sit there and be quiet without getting pushed into any fights.
But she couldn't stand it, being alone all the time, not being spoken to at all. So, she changed her tactics and tried to get attention. But her family had started to back away, leaving her alone, and thought this was all just a hoax. They continued to pay her no attention as though she were a shadow, or not even there. This frustrated her, and in attempt to once again gain their affection, she began to purge after her meals. Maybe if she was thinner, better looking, maybe then they'd pay attention. Then they'd sing her praises and just stop fighting. At first, it was just to get their attention, but then it turned to getting everyones. She needed their approval.
She had told herself she'd just drop a few pounds then stop, but it wasn't that easy. She continued to purge after meals, if she even ate at all. But then she would get hungry and eat anything in site, usually junk food. Angry with herself, she'd force it out of her system before it could make it to her body.
This lasted for about five months. Then her brother started noticing how thin she had gotten. One time, after supper, he had followed her to the bath room to see what she was doing all the time. He was horrified when he heard her talking to herself, saying how fat she was, how she had to continue. He pushed open the door, catching Kaycee just before she flushed down her meal. He ran from the room, apologizing quickly, and went straight for his mother. He told her everything, trying to keep a straight face, and she went for Kaycee. She was crying, no it was worse then that. As soon as Kaycee seen her mom, she too was crying. She knew what she had done was wrong, and she promised she'd never do it again. But Katelyn forced her to see a therapist and a doctor. Though she didn't thin k she needed it at first, she soon realized how broken she had become. After a few months, she was better then before, and devoted her energy into sports.
Her mother, who was still emotional over her daughter, decided she needed a companion. Richard had brought his cat Puzzle from his days alone, but the cat was pretty inactive. So, Katelyn bought the families dog, Aero, for a Christmas present. She said he both symbolized Kaycees recovery and the families future. Kaycee immediately became attached to him, and started reading more and more about dogs. How to train them, how to groom and feed them properly. She would make she he got everything he needed.
When Katelyn realized how good her daughter was with animals, she then enrolled her in horseback riding lessons. Kaycee went every Monday and Friday to the local barn, and learned how to properly care for the horses there. She loved riding so much that she decided to save up enough money to lease one of the horses which she rode constantly, a 10 year-old bay Quarter-Horse mare named Nishka. She would go down every weekend and after each riding lesson (because the instructors liked to switch up the horses) to clean and exercises the mare. Katelyn and Kaycee were even discussing buying Nishka, Kaycee loved her so much. But in the end they decided against it, they were short on money and a horse was the least of their problems.[/ul]

She asked, voice loud as if she were much wiser then him. She truly didn't mind his sudden appearance, but she did mind that he payed her no respect. If he had a problem with her actions, then he should first get acquainted before throwing words of disapproval.Bay mares concentration was snapped, and the spreading fire had quickly receded. Small embers glowed, but quickly died away, leaving smoke to float in the air above. She took a step closer, kicking the scar of dead grass, crushing the surviving embers. That was all they needed, a forest fire to ruin the lands. As much as she liked the sering heat, she knew there would be no change to live if all things of nature died. What would they eat? Nothing. So, she had to be careful while she was bending, or things could quickly spiral, starting the eventual apocalypse.
Yes, she believed that everything would one day die. Of course, she knew of the Immortals, it was said that they were ageless and would live forever. But not everything you heard was true, right? Surely a God or Goddess needed food as well. And of course, if everyone knew their lives would soon end, she doubted they'd leave the Immortals uninterrupted. She herself would be one to cause some havoc, to leave with a bang.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a voice from behind. Spinning around, she faced the other equine. She flinched as she saw the mark that scarred his face, leaving one eye clearly blind. Her eyes darted away to her own scar, clearly displayed on her rump. Eyes quickly narrowed into slits as her mind wandered, sifting through the many memories until the one she had been looking for surfaced. A long lost anger swelled deep within her chest, and she took a step closer to the colt, mind clouded with the replaying memory. She hated her mother more then death itself. She had been doing so fine without her, why did she feel the need to ruin her life? If things had gone differently, perhaps she'd be a different being. Maybe she'd be a warm light, like before. Or maybe her mother and the replacement father hadn't changed her a bit, maybe that was just how she was meant to be. Either way, she still hated the two equines, whether it was their fault or not.
The fire in her eyes quickly disappeared, as though water had been thrown over them. She regained control of herself, slipping from her mind back into her body, realizing he had spoke once more. She snorted at his words, figuring he had never run into an equine such as her. What does that mean, you ask? Well, one who didn't care much of what others thought. She had her own mind, she'd do her own thinking. Simple as that.
"It is also not right to jump into others business, or did you not learn that lesson?"
A small shift of her gaze was all that was visible that she was surprised. She usually had a good rein on her emotions, but apparently while alone she had let some slip through. Either that, or the boy had some pretty good intuition, to know that something was troubling her.
Deino lifted her head to meet his gaze, catching a flicker of movement from the corner of her eyes. With her maw slightly ajar to speak, she turned to face another mare, much shorter then herself. Nearly not tall enough to be classified as a horse, but perhaps it was just her age. Eyes traveled along her bod, she guessed that she was much younger then herself. But then again, she never did have a good sense of guessing, so her estimations were most likely off by quite a bit.
When she made no more movement toward them, Deino figured that the mare would rather stay out of their conversation, for now, at least. Skull turned back to face the stag, eyes now adjusted to his disfigurement enough that it didn't bother her. But it did bring some questions of her own, as in, how did he get it? Did it still hurt? But she would wait until later to ask those, if she even chose to at all.
"And what makes you think that something is troubling me, hmm? Lucky guess, I suppose, because there are a rare few that can pick me apart. Though you were right, it isn't something I want to discuss at the moment, or anytime, really. As I said, you should learn to keep in your own business, not everyone is as collected as I am. And by my guess, you should already know that." She spoke evenly, her voice only hinting at her curiosity at the end. Her head tilted, showing that she spoke of the mark scarring his face. "And what did you do to receive that, boy?" She added, not really caring that she was being hypocritical, or ignorant to the subject of his name. Even though she had just finished telling him to stay in his own business, she continued to pry deeper into his. That was the way she worked, and that made it all the more harder to figure out the pattern. Not that there was one in her decisions. Her thoughts were scattered, untraceable. She was a puzzle, a large one at that, and quite difficult to even think of piecing it together.
Ears twitched at a silent laugh, and she turned to see the mare again. She gave her a quizzical glance, before calling out to her, voice easily carrying the short distance to the opposing mare.
"And what is your story, mare? I suggest you either join us, or carry on elsewhere. Your beginning to annoy me." Her voice never wavered, and she didn't bother to hide her curiosity or annoyance. She figured her threat was enough to either rid of the mare, or to add to the small misfitted group. They weren't here to socialize, though, so it didn't matter. She had come to relieve herself of the large burden of stress, and would do that by practicing her skills with the fire element.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
