Alex waited and waited, wishing he hadn't denied Luci liking him and letting her run off like that. He sighed once more, about to get up when he felt someone lie down next to him. His eyes widened a bit until he realized it was Luci. He gasped with relief, smiling over at her. "I'm fine..my side just hurts." He winced. "I'm sorry, luci." He said, frowning now. "I didn't mean to hurt you.. I just..well, I do like you...but I love someone else."

Luci's heart dropped. "You like Addie don't you?" She asked. If he did she didn't care. She was used to it. Everyone liked Addie better than Luci even her parents did. Addie was beautiful; smart and sweet. Luci on the other hand was stubborn. She had gotten used to it over the years but she was jealous. |

Alex gulped, looking down. "Yes.." He admitted, biting his lip. "I - don't hate me Luci." He frowned. "You're one of the only friends I have." He whispered, looking down and playing with his fingers. He turned over and looked at Luci. "You're a beautiful girl, but - I just don't see you that way." He said, touching her cheek, hoping she wouldn't pull away from the contact.

Alex swallowed back his guilt. The last thing he needed was for someone to hate him or to be mad at him. Especially here. Stuck on this island.. Lonely. Alex didn't like being alone. "L-luci please.." He begged, reaching out for her face again. He pulled her towards him, lips inches away from hers. He couldn't do it, she was his best friend... If this is what she wanted, he'd give it to her. He didn't want to hurt her feelings. He knew that eventually he'd be in deep shit. He loved Adelyn, and he was sure of it.
He didn't want to give Luci false love, but he wanted her to have something. And, in no way right now was he being selfish! He'd show her. He leaned in and kissed Luci, shivering at the touch but keeping his lips on hers.

Luci liked it but couldn't do it. He was doing it to make her happy. She pulled way. "You just did it because you are sorry for me." She sneered as she stood up. She knew that he did the one thing that hurt her now she was going to do the one thing that would hurt him. With Luci she tries and tries to get something but when she gets it she doesn't want it. She leaned down and picked up her bag. She threw her bag over her shoulder and started for the forest. "Go to hell!" she muttered. |

Alex frowned as she pulled away. He gaped at her as she got up to walk away. "I do want to make you happy, but fuck it now, because you obviously don't want it." He growled, standing up. "You're a bitch, you know that?!" He said, immediately covering his mouth. He's never said that to his friends before..and that wasn't nice at all.

Luci didn't want to stop but when he said something she said "Don't you get it Alex. I don't want your pity." She continued walking until she heard the next thing he said. "What did you just call me?!" She sneered as she turned on her heels. |

He really hated her right now, and he never thought that was possible. Now he knew why Luci was always so sweet to him! She loved him. How sick was that? Well, it really wasn't. You can't help who you love, sadly.

Alex's nostrils flared. "DO NOT compare me to you. We are nothing alike, babe. I've never had a boyfriend, I just gave my supposed 'best friend' my first kiss and I'm always alone!" He retorted, tearing up. "I've got it worse than you do." he said, plopping back down on the rock. "Just leave me alone." he cried.

"Who said we were friends." She sneered as she picked up her bag again. She wasn't going to cry she was tough. She turned back on her heels and started off to the forest. She wasn't going to stop until she got to the camp so she could get back to her tent. She entered the forest slowly and kept the same pace not daring to go any faster. |
