According to the fact that quite a few girls have been caught swooning over the guy, he has come to the assumption that he is quite good-looking. He keeps his dark brown hair down to his shoulders, but this has function as well as looking good on him. While one's hair is that long, one is able to hide behind one's long locks. Indeed, it's quite handy, for he can see out, but most people can't see in and he knows it. His dark eyes discretely study the world around him. They are intelligent, dark brown eyes and he is always hesitate to hold eye contact with anyone for very long, so consider yourself lucky if he looks you in the face, he's not a very trusting person. His skin can be traced back to his heritage, which is native to Scotland, where he has spent the bulk of his life so far. It is pale and smooth and his face is free of scars that might have otherwise marred his appearance. He does have a scar, but it's across the bottom of his forearm.
Puck is just above average height, standing at six feet, but reaching no more than that. His father stands at an impressive six feet and four feet tall and (unforunately, in Puck's opinion) he looks a lot like his father, so he might reach a taller height by the time he's finished growing. He's not very heavy, even in porportion to his height. Weighing in at only one hundred and thirty pounds, Puck could be counted not with the smaller guys, but with the lean people: those who can reach the top shelf, but who don't have to diet and won't have to for a long time. He's also got dazzlingly white teeth, which remind people of a great, carnivorous animal and he's surprisingly strong for someone who spends so little time working out. Well, his version of working out isn't even going to the gym and putting in the time; it's lifting feedbags and carrying water pails.

overall personality:
Puck is the type of guy whose name doesn't entirely fit him. Yes, his parents are Shakespeare freaks, or rather, freaks for anything of classical relation. And as much as he likes the name itself, he doesn't exactly fit the idea of a bouncing, nefarious goblin-sprite.
He's the type of anti-social nerd who one finds in every library, nose stuck in a book and eyes quickly averted the moment they discover someone's looking back at them. Most nerds are known for being a little lonely and in need of friends, but Puck takes the nerd label another step further. You see, he's perfectly happy to be alone and with himself. He's never been a bully magnet and no one's every really tried to bully him, so why bother with the masses? Books suit himself just find...and animals, so do animals. Around non-human species, Puck becomes himself; he actually bothers his mouth enough to open it enough to articulate (and his voice comes out in a high tenor, Scottish accented voice) and he really lets himself feel truly comfortable around animals. Perhaps that's just another reason why he's not too keen on people; they always make him feel moderately unnerved, like he should be attending to their every want and need. The most schooled experts might say that Puck is lonely and doe need people to talk to, but who's the judge when this kid hasn't truthfully spent enough quality time around others of his species to decided whether he likes them or not?
Puck is mister intelligent. He's spent the time away from people actually reading the books he hides behind and thus, it has paid off. But it's not just knowledge that makes him special; it's his ability to think a solution to a problem. We're not talking math here, because Puck sucks at math, no question about it. He's a gifted writer instead and he knows the ins and outs of history, which will be very useful to him on the island, even though he doesn't know that he's headed there. He's also quite observant; he sees the small things that other people normally miss and he's got a sharp eye for hidden traps and pitfalls.
Okay, so maybe he isn't the most graceful person in the world, big deal, he's still reasonably physically fit. Yes, that's right, Puck was never terribly coordinated all throughout his childhood and was more or less always falling on his face. In fact, clumsy might even be a better word for him...clumsy and accident prone. He's always knocking things over, even to this day and he is known for knocking other people over alongside him

history:
Seventeen years ago, Puck was born the firstborn of two twins, both boys to two actor parents. In those days, the husband and wife pair hadn't made much money or success for themselves out on the stage and they had a small farm with room for crops and a few animals, ensuring that they wouldn't starve. Besides, their sons were not born into complete poverty, or even partial poverty, for that matte, as the house was clean warm and there was food on the table and clean clothes on their backs every day.
From the start, Puck learned how to milk goats, shear sheep, ride horses, drive cows and plant seeds. Some might hear this type of past and might have classified him as a country bumpikin, but he had a mind that drove him far out of the simpleton range. However, from a young age, he bonded with the animals he spent so much time with and he learned how to speak some of their body language back to them, how to manipulate them slightly and how to imitate their calls. They were his only friends for the first part of his life...and for the part that followed as well. They were always there for him, they never argued and they never let him down. His brother certainly could never promise that much.
Malcolm was soon their parents' favorite and they mde to effort to hide this from their eldest son. Sure, they fed Puck, clothed him and treated him with kindness, but the younger twin seemed to receive more attention, more praise while Puck did more and received less. His parents positively spoiled Malcolm while ignoring Puck. It was at this time that Malcolm grew jealous of his brother, beginning the enmity between them as their mother began to spend the family name and gather money through screen acting.
His family had once wondered whether to homeschool their youngest son, not because he was brilliant, (which, even at that time in his life, he was) but that it seemed that he wasn't getting along with the other children. They were right, of course, but they ended up sending Puck to school in the end anyway. School for Puck was his own personal hell of sorts. The homework was all right, in fact, most of it was a breeze and the teachers were fairly nice, but his classmates taunted him and jeered at him at every opportunity. They knew he was difference, knew he was smart. The teachers' pet soon attracted the hungry eyes of the schoolyard bullies, the biggest of which descended on him one day at recess. But as meek as he seemed, Puck wasn't one to let someone hit him over the end with a soccerball. Furious, he turned on the bully and grabbed him around the throat, in a way in which poultry were strangled and closed his strong, goat-milking fingers around his windpipe. The other boy gasped and sunk to his knees, blue in the face before Puck released him. All it took was that one incident and no bully has ever laid a hand on Puck again.
As his life progressed, he became interested in furthering his equestrian skills and he began taking lessons as his family's income increased. When he himself became skilled enough, he got a job as an exercise rider for race horses and he was light enough to breeze them on the flat until he was thirteen, at which time he switched to being an exercise rider for steeple chasing. School continued to be hell and he never had any real friends, but preferred to read and spent time with his non-human friends.
Going to camp was something that his parents had pressed him into and this had taken place after a particularly nasty fight between his mother and himself and then his father and brother had joined in. His parents were trying to be nice after the fact and so they suggested made him go away to camp, saying that it would be good for him. Just where he would end up, he hadn't dared to imagine...
