roleplay sample:
He was glad that Talyn was enjoying herself just as much as he was. His tail flick obviously had a lot of power behind it causing the water to stream a bit higher then Talyn’s had. She didn’t mind but embraced the cool water upon her body. This place was very quiet with the exception of the falls. Cisco’s ears perked forward listening for anything that may make a good meal. Talyn must have read his mind for when he put attention back on her she was starring down a rather large fish. He watched her concentrate on her target. The fish seemed to have no idea it was being watched and stayed in the same spot. Talyn lowered her muzzle into the water attempting to capture her unsuspecting victim. Her head re-emerged moments later fish free. She looked up at Cisco after mumbling something to herself. He gave a comforting smile.
Was he good at fishing? Honestly Cisco had never caught a fish in his life but still pondered on the question. He didn’t really know what to say. What is a good fisher like? He looked down at the several fish weaving through his limbs. How hard could it be? He asked himself silently. He shook his head in agreement and said, “They say I’m pretty good,” he looked up to Talyn and continued, “but you can be the judge of that.” Cisco turned away from Talyn as to find a good fish to attempt in capturing.
As he moved farther into the pond the fish seemed more numerous. Maybe if there was a large group there was a better chance of catching one on a whim. Water splashed with every step taken by the large shepherd his eyes focused on a large grouping of fish near the middle. Their scales caused a glimmer in the water giving away their position. Cisco shortened his stride now as to stop his splashing. The small school was just infront of him now. Their small bodies seem to move in sync with the current. Taking a large gulp Cisco prepared himself. With a small leap, Cisco attempted to catch one of the fish in his muzzle which was now submerged. To his dismay Cisco came up empty handed. He turned to Talyn who would have probably started laughing at his horrible skills and said a-matter-a -factly, “Un momento senorita that was just for practice.”
Cisco gave a small growl at himself for looking so foolish. He scanned the water for another small school of fish which he found a few feet back towards shore. He, again, crept up on the fish in a sly manner and stood very still when he came close. He decided not to use the same technique as last time but to use his paw to scoop the fish into the air. It was a long shot but he hoped it would work. Cisco crouched low, his ears pinned back. With one fast swipe his paw broke apart the gathering of fish. To his surprise, as his paw re-emerged a fish went flying into the air. His eyes watched it fly a few feet above his head. In a great attempt to catch the “flying fish” Cisco jumped a good foot in the air. The fish landed between his jaws perfectly. However, as Cisco’s paws hit the algae coverd rocks beneath the waves he slipped causing the fish to fly out from his grip as he tried to catch himself., which was unsuccessful. Cisco layed in the water for several moments. He watched as the fish he had just dropped swam past his nose. He gave a low growl and pulled himself up into a standing position. He looked up to Talyn with a smile and dragged himself closer to her. "That fish got lucky, if I was still in good condition he would've been toast."
