Alex knew that along his walk towards where ever he was traveling, he would pass out any second. He was in a bad mood, hadn't eaten or drank in hours, and his site was still bleeding; life was ending for him and he knew it. He wasn't ready to die, gah! He plopped down in the sand, grumbling as he blew his curls out of his face. This was the end. He just wished the world had ended first.

Wait, who knows?! He could be dead. Oh god, was he? But, if he was, he would've known it. He felt even more drowsy, and dizzy, so he laid back in the sand. He sighed, the sun beaming down on him; making him too hot and even more thirsty. He took off his shirt, letting the sun hit his injury. He couldn't care less any longer. And, he had no idea where he was.

[/i]! or, maybe it had only been hours? either way, adelyn's feet hurt like hell and she wasn't sure how much farther she could convince herself to walk. she had long since discarded her cowgirl boots. they were in her hand, along with the small bottle of water that she'd stowed in her carry on bag back at the plane. this was the only thing she'd brought with her when she had left, as her only idea then was to get as far away from the drama, stress, and plane wreck as she could.

adelyn was pretty sure that she had succeed in that idea. she didn't know how far she had walked, but she could no longer see or hear anyone associated with her class trip and she was glad. her eyes darted to the sand up ahead; she'd have to stop walking soon or she was certain that she'd pass out from exhaustion. that was when she caught sight of someone in the sand up ahead... but who?

her pace quickened and with a couple of seconds the realization hit her like a ton of bricks. it was alexander! he really didn't look so good, though. adelyn bit her lip, running her fingers through her hair slightly as she stopped next to the boy. looking down, she studied him carefully. "alex? are you alright?" she questioned.

Alex let out a shaky and long breath as his eyes slipped closed he swallowed his saliva; craving water. His mouth was dry, and he was pretty sure he'd get cotton mouth. But that's better than drinking salt water. He rather die. He grinned when he heard his name being called by a soft voice. Was he dreaming. He licked his chapped lips as he looked at Adelyn. "Hey." he said, voice cracking. "I'm fine.. Just great." he lied, staying still. "Stay with me," he said, patting the sand. "How are you?" yeah. He was definitely crazy.

[/b] adelyn stated as she dropped her boots into the sand beside him. alex patted the sand beside him, and adelyn managed to smile softly. she soon slid down beside alex and crossed her legs out in front of her. her half empty water bottle rolled off her lap as she did so, causing her to frown slightly.

"i'm... getting by," adelyn replied, forcing herself to smile once more. she would've been better if it weren't for the facts that they were stranded, she was hungry, and her feet really hurt. but, she wasn't going to whine right then... there was plenty of time for that later. eying her water bottle slightly, she pushed it toward alex. "do you want some water or something? you look sort of... pale." she muttered, with a slight shrug.

Alex sighed, sitting up and wrapping his arms around Adelyn. "I'm just so tired, and hungry, and in pain." He bit his lip, eyes closing again. "I got off the plain just a few hours ago, and I found myself with a gash..in my hip. I just won't stop bleeding, and I've found no way to stop it or heal it." He opened his eyes to look at Adelyn; tearing up. "I think I might die." He sniffled, eyes getting wide. "We're all going to die!" He wailed, ignoring her offer to water.

[/b] adelyn replied softly. she leaned slightly against the boy before glancing out at the ocean. "help is on the way, though! it has to be... i mean, come on," she coaxed slightly. adelyn listened slightly as he described his situation. she winced slightly as he mentioned his hip. she was tempted to glance over at it and see what she could do -or if it was really as bad as he said- but she refrained herself from doing so.

at his next outbreak, adelyn's eyes went wide. she let go of alex and frowned. "alex! get a grip!" she snapped. she was now getting slightly stressed; the last thing she wanted to think about was anyone dying. she wiggled out of his grip and placed her hands on his shoulders. "listen to me! we're all going to be fine! no one is going to die!" or, at least, she hoped.

Alex giggled a bit at the older girl. He let her talk to him, and when she finally stopped, he snuggled into her. "Someone's going to die," He then became serious. "Not everyone is going to survive, Adelyn; you know it. I could be one of the survivors, I might not. The island could blow up for all we know!" He sighed, taking in her scent. "But just incase, I love you." He smiled widely at her, kissing her cheek. "Now, I think I'll go for a swim, maybe it'll help..." his eyes trailed to the gash. "Er...the salt will kill me, never mind." He whispered, taking his shirt and wrapping it around his hips to stop the bleeding. "Only god can save us now. Because, we know help is not coming."

[/b] the girl replied lightly. she pushed her toes under the sand before she looked up to meet alex's gaze once more. as he kissed her cheek, adelyn flushed slightly. she returned his grin with a small one of her own and managed a small nod.

"i love you, too..." adelyn managed softly. she trailed her gaze out to the ocean and then looked back at alex. "but, you're going to be fine... i know it," she insisted a few seconds later. she offered up a meek smile as she glanced over at his bleeding him. addie winced slightly upon seeing it. it was pretty bad, she had to admit. upon hearing his next statement, adelyn glanced up at his face, rolling her eyes slightly. "way to be a pessimist. there's still hope; someone is going to show up sooner or later! it's just a matter of time."

Alex just smiled when Adelyn said she loved him too. Maybe today would be better, and there would be help soon. He was feeling better already, it didn't hurt to be optimistic, or happier. "Eh, fine, shmine." He replied, scrunching his nose up cutely at the weird word. He was being retarded. There had to be something to drink ...oooh! Coconuts? Would they be around here? Ugh, but how would they get it open? Alex then looked back at Adelyn. "Yeah, there will be help...eventually. OR there could be no help at all! You've seen the blue lagoon, right? "we won't end up like them... or at least, i hope we won't." adelyn replied softly. her eyes shifted to the sky. at least it had stopped raining. "but, we should make the best of it.... this kind of sucks, but at least we're alive." she stated with a slight shrug. it wasn't like her to be so optimistic... but someone had to be, she supposed. everyone else was freaking out; it was starting to rub off on her, too.

Alex laid down next to her; close. "I just..I really miss my family..and it hasn't even been that long. I wonder if they think I'm dead." He whispered, turning his head to look at her. He smiled slightly, groaning when he saw her water bottle. He didn't want to look at it, because then he would die. He wanted her to keep the rest; he cared about her. He sighed, watching it get dark. Somehow, he was happy the sun went down, but now he was scared.

And somehow, he couldn't fall asleep. He was so tired before, yet he still couldn't sleep. He looked over at Adelyn. He snuggled closer to her, kissing her shoulder shyly. He blushed a little, pulling back and looking up at her.

[/b] she admitted. she sighed, "if it weren't for callie being here, i'm not sure what i'd do. but, i hope some help comes soon or else... well, you know..." she trailed off, not really wanting to think about what would happen if help didn't arrive. instead, she glanced back to alex, giving a slight grin. she noticed him glancing at her water bottle and held it out to him, hoping he'd take it. she didn't want him to become dehydrated -not if she could help it.

the sun started to go down and adelyn sighed. it was sort of weird -scary, even- now that they were so far away from the campsite. she was relieved as alex scooted closer to her; it gave her a more content and protected feeling. she grinned at him slightly as he kissed her shoulder and then shied away. leaning over, she kissed his cheek lightly. she blushed slightly after doing so, and then laid back in the sand, looking up at the sky. "it's pretty out here," she commented with another small grin. at least that was a plus of being on this island.

"Hehe. Callie." Alex laughed a little bit. He had always laughed at Adelyn's sisters' name. It was funny...so funny. He wondered if their parents named Callie after california. "Now I know not to take family or people for granted ever again." He murmured, looking over at Adelyn. "I don't want your water, babe." He told her, pushing it away.

Alex blushed furiously when Adelyn kissed his cheek. He giggled a bit, though he immediately shut up. He grinned at her words, nodding in agreement. "Yes it is." He sighed with content, pulling Adelyn in his arms. "Adelyn?" He asked, biting his lip nervously. "You know how I said that I loved you before?" He said, not waiting for a reply. "Well, I mean... I love you more than a friend." He said quickly, not even sure if she understood it.

But, that didn't matter. He had just realized he admitted it, and she could've understood it! Shit! That was bad. So, so bad. He hid his face in her neck, closing his eyes and just staying there, breathing on her neck. He was slightly afraid of her reaction..he'd have to deal with it though.

He drew cirlces on her stomach with the tip of his finger as he just laid there silently, breathing in her scent. He had always been in love with Adelyn. Ever since they met. That was one of the reasons he wanted to be her best friend, one of the reasons he was her best friend! He just hadn't ever known if she felt the same. She never showed signs anyway. Not until now, though. Maybe that was because he was also being affectionate; he wasn't sure.

adelyn allowed alex to pull her closer, a soft grin playing on her lips. she felt rather content laying there in his arms. she was about to speak up when alex began to talk. at his words, she felt her heart quicken just a bit. she had known that, but for some reason the words surprised her. she wasn't sure why... maybe it was because she knew that deep down, she liked him as more than just a friend too. or, maybe it was because she knew that luci also liked alex. either way, her voice was caught in her throat and she was struggling to put her thoughts together.

she had to speak up, adelyn bit her lip as alex traced circles on her stomach. she knew that she had -just recently- really started to like alex, too... but, what would she tell luci? luci had been her best friend far longer than alex had... her thoughts trailed off and finally adelyn took a sharp breath ready to speak. "i-i know," she managed shakily. her eyes followed his finger as it continued to draw circles on her stomach. she figured that she might as well tell him the truth. what could it hurt? "and... well i feel the same way. but, luci -she really likes you, too... and i don't want to hurt her." her gaze shifted from alex as she pulled back. glancing out at the ocean, she frowned. adelyn wasn't sure that she wanted to know what he had to say next, but she didn't want to hurt him or luci. she loved them both dearly.

Alex pulled away, feeling a bit dizzy. His breath became shallow, still hitting her neck. Shit. He had completely forgotten about Luci. He closed his eyes, chewing on his lip in thought. But, for some reason, he couldn't concentrate on one thought right now. He wanted Adelyn, he didn't want Luci. And he knew that he'd never get Adelyn as long as Luci liked him. Why was he so screwed? Did God hate him? He shook his head, frowning at Adelyn's repsone. If she felt the same, and really cared she would've...said so. Wait, didn't she? Well, she never said she wanted to be with Alex.

"Adelyn," Alex started, whispering. "I don't love Luci..I love you." He said, in a quiet voice. "I only love her as a friend..and nothing can change that. I don't want to sound selfish..b-but..you're all I want.." He breathed. "And she doesn't make it fair. She never does. She's always putting me down, and never accepting anything I do or say." He said, getting a bit angry. "I - just..i'm so tired.." Alex whispered, falling limp against Adelyn and blacking out.

'How did I get in my bed?' Alex thought to himself, as he sat up. 'I thought I was stuck on the island.' He then realized he wasn't alone in bed. He turned, seeing Luci in bed with him. His eyes widened as he screamed, falling off the bed. What was Luci doing in his bed? GOD NO. He didn't like her, never would he. Ever. She was just a friend. He quickly left his room, suddenly ending up back on the island, with Adelyn, and naked?! WTF?! Not that he didn't enjoy it, but when- when. Alex's mouth fell open.

Maybe his dream was telling him something.

[/b] adelyn gasped, her voice shaking ever so slightly. by now, it'd become too much, the teen's eyes began to tear up as she sat on her knees. what was she to do? she placed her hand on his shoulder, shaking him slightly. "alex!" by now, adelyn was near shouting. she didn't know what to do, but she was stressed.

"alex, get up!" with one last try adelyn gave a dramatic sigh. her gaze fell on her half empty water bottle. reaching for it, she slid off the cap and dumped it on him. she didn't know if he had passed out, or if he was just sleeping... but adelyn wasn't about to take chances. she didn't want to sit alone; she was scared.

He gasped when he felt water being poured all over him, and he shot up, gasping. He looked over at Adelyn and sighed, crossing his arms. He laid back down, curling into a ball and closing his eyes. He didn't want to talk to Adelyn. She hurt him. And he didn't think it was possible. She loved him - but he could tell she was having thoughts about her decision. She didn't want to be with him. Alex growled at her snappy reply. "Yeah, it was for nothing. You should've just left me alone. Maybe I passed out from exhaustion. Maybe I'm supposed to die." He muttered bitterly. He then rolled his eyes at Adelyn's apology. "Don't you think I fucking know?" He said, practically jumped at her, like a tiger. "I've already hurt her, and lost a friend just because I love you!" He said, frowning and not looking over at her. He moved away when he felt her hand on his back. "D-don't touch me." He whispered, getting reduced to tears. He hated his life. He never got his way, not once. Maybe that was just it. He was selfish? He didn't get how he was. But Luci said it. He deserved it, he guessed.

"I understand. I've never been loved in return, anyway. Why should I get what I need? Want?" He murmured, sighing and raking his hands through the sand.

"and maybe i would've left you alone. but, i'm scared alex. for once in my life i don't know what's going on, and it terrifies me. i don't want to be alone." she admitted this softly, not even sure if it mattered anymore. tears were lining her eyes again shortly after this. as he came at her, adelyn slid back in the sand with wide eyes. regaining her composure, she was about to reply when she stopped. "luci already knows that you love me?" she asked, softly. "you told her? what did she say?" she was surprised by all of this, but she was even more worried. what if luci already hated her? then what would she do?

her mind snapped back to the current situation after alex told her not to touch him. she pulled her hand back in a rush, frowning. at his next comment adelyn sighed softly. "alex," she started meekly, "i love you... i really think that i do. i told you that earlier. i didn't want to hurt you." she watched alex for just a few seconds, then her gaze shifted to her toes. she couldn't bring herself to look back at him. not now, anyways.
